Apple Sheera with Nattu Sakkarai is a delicious kesari made with rava and Nattu Sakkarai with the goodness of apple blended with it.

I wanted to make a sweet without the refined sugar and felt nattu sakkarai is a good option. The other neivedyam today was Ven Pongal and Pattani sundal for Navrati Day 5.

Days are hectic off late so hardly get time to sit and write in detail. Hope you are having a wonderful Navratri celebrations.

Apple Kesari

Apple Sheera with Nattu Sakkarai~ day 5

Ingredients Needed:

1/2 cup Semolina / Rava
1 medium Apple
1/2 cup Nattu Sakkarai
3 tsp Ghee
Handful Cashewnuts

How to make Apple Sheera with Nattu Sakkarai

In a nonstick pan, heat the 1 tsp ghee and roast the cashews, when golden, remove and next roaste the rava till nicely browned. Remove to a plate.
In the same pan, add finely chopped peeled apple cubes with 1 tsp ghee till lightly soft.
Next add the Nattu Sakkarai and simmer till the whole thing comes together.
Now add water and bring to a boil.
Add the roasted rava and simmer with a lid covered till rava is cooked. Add 1 tsp ghee over it and remove.
Offer as prasadam and partake.

Instructions
